People are encouraged to volunteer to lead projects and others are encouraged to volunteer to join them and support them.
The whole work is self-organized.
When somebody is sick - others volunteer to replace them.
We never talk about authority.
We make sure responsibility is clear - once people have volunteered to lead a task - they are fully accountable!
We don`t want diffusion of responsibility.
But the old rule - there is no responsibility without authority - is gone!
We all lead without authority. We lead through concensus and a win-win attitude and with a lot of respect to what people are good at and what they have passion for and what they like to do.This way we have a motivated team, where everybody is a leader when they choose to, and a follower when they are asked to.
