Once upon a time there was a statistical observatory on the labour market of the Province of Florence.
They used to make annual researches and they published them on their website as PDF.
If someone was interested in the data or charts, he had to download the entire file, print the research (usually it was something like 100 pages or more…) and feel lucky to find the information he was looking for. Another problem was that different offices did not share the same researches and data, so that everyone was telling his own story….
I tried to look and the past researches and way of work as a starting point. The aim was to make data & charts be available “on demand” in a way that they could be collected and used for planning and analysis of future trends.
The main goal was to let data be available online on a specific website. Interactive charts of the past and actual trend will help offices to share common knowledge and contribute for the improvement and development of new statistical indicators & charts.
It’s not a point of arrival but hope it can be a good start…
Sorry for my bad English, hope the story was almost clear.
