Dashboards are great tools for collating and making visible past data. The use of Infographics however can encourage more horizon-scanning activities and proactively help HR (and other services) prepare for that which is still to come.
With further economic uncertainty in the forthcoming years, where is it best to place our energy? Looking back, looking forward or both?
In terms of 80:20, previously many services spend 80% on looking back in the realisation that the past holds many lessons for the future. It is my view that this should be revised given the current climate to 80% of energy being spend on horizon-scanning and preparing for different futures, so that we are all as ready as we can be for any further changes.
