Innovators, Early or Late Adopters

By Heidi De Wolf on June 25, 2013

How to spot early or late adopter? Early and late adopters can only be convinced by evidence of something working elsewhere.

How to spot an innovator? Someone who is happy to experiment and take the risk of failing in order to find a better quality result.

How do people grow from being early/late adopters to being innovators in a short period of time to support organisational transformation? Or is this a case of strength-based Talent Management? I would welcome people's views.

Dear Heidi,

I've written up a hack on this - Predictive Change Management. It outlines how it's possible to spot early adopters, pioneers and late adopters in advance of any change work and how this then impacts adaptability and enhances any change management work.

Have a read if you've time, I'd welcome any comments or thoughts you might have.

Thank you Bruce, one that had obviously slipped my attention.
