There a 2 slides from the Equality Trust's "Spirit Level" web site. They show the statistical co-relation between levels of trust and income inequality. The core message is that in countries that have more income equality ( less inequality) , levels of trust are higher. Its solidly research data based, and the book has all the explanation of why. It is also true for the comparison between US States. So I have every reason to believe its true for organisations too. But I suspect that US Corporations could never get their heads around that concept. Its outside their cultural range. The phenomenon is also visible in well run small businesses, often amongst tradesmen.
