Define "society" first

Evolution eventually "provides" predators.  Who / which "exploit".  Other people and the planet.

Hence, no "let's things evolve on their own" solution will do.

 

For the above, "society" should identify one foremost objective:  to protect the weak (e.g., in a family, the husband protects his wife, when she's weak;  the wife protects her husband, when he's weak;  the parents protect their children, when they are young and weak;  the children protect their parents, when they are old and weak).

 

Not "the law is equal for everybody", but "the law protects the weak" should be written in courts...

Starting from this cultural revolution, things could change for the better / the best.
