Hi Everyone. Polly L. recommended that in addition to posting this question on Barriers, I create a "vision" framework that expands off the question as a Hack, so that we can create specifics and then piece everything together in a comprehensive action plan.
1.) The Question: I would like to hear your suggestions as to how government, private industry, non-profits, unions, and academia can work together to create jobs. Assume there are no restrictions on how leaders from these sectors can interface. Please be specific in your responses. Thank you! Eric Schillinger
2.) The Vision Framework: We want a comprehensive action plan that is composed of many specific suggestions that can interlock. To start the thought process, we want to interface public policy with the other sectors. Specific public policies that can be used to interface include: financial support, R&D funding, training & coaching, capital and labor market regulation, trade protection, public purchasing, and subsidies & restructuring incentives. Think about how we can interface these public policy options with the needs and wants of the other sectors to spur job creation.
Looking forward to reviewing everyones' workable solutions! Thanks again, Eric Schillinger
