When we read/talk about Open Innovation, corporations try to change their culture and knowledge management into new process and methodologies, sometimes when they found a new opportunity outside their actual business (new product or service), there´s a real problem for the corporation:
-How to deal with this New Business Opportunity?
All huge companies I know started with a cell under a department under all governance and financial aspects of the “huge organization”… “Do you agree with that???”
I don´t agree… the best way to minimize costs, risks, get a better commitment from the new opportunity is creating a startup OUTSIDE the organization, this will push the new business harder and one thing people need to know: it´s better to open a startup at an Incubator or a Science Park, it´s a lot flexible to shift this startup directions due to new market perceptions, it´s cheaper to maintain the team and you will handle less governance problems and more administrative problems due to the startup small size.
I want to write a detailed article about that, but I need help to write the article and show the numbers. Can you help me?
