While the content currently on the MIX can inspire would-be management innovators, we think that it’s equally important to equip people with the the tools/frameworks to drive management innovation on the ground. Taking a cue from the MOOC (Massively Open Online Course) movement, the MIX could offer its own courses or even create a certification program. The “MIX Academy” could also include courses and other learning content created and delivered by members of the MIX community.
I think this is a very good idea. I would attend and learn myself, but more important - I would ask my daughter who is studying business to attend as well. The curriculum at MIX would be a nice addition to outdated management practices taught in many universities. I agree that each lesson should not be too long, but a collection of them could lead to a certification.

great idea, but they need to be short & sweet - I'm not as interested in the certification as I am in the learning, but would like to be able to do it in 15min or so -- with an option for a longer course/class if I want

Anything that combines like-minded content together in a cohesive way would be beneficial. I think MOOC falls in this category.

Thanks for your comment, Taylor. In addition to a full-fledged MOOC, would you also see value in shorter, more focused learning content, ideally contributed by our MIXers (e.g., a mini-course on bringing "serious play" at work contributed by Ross Smith of Microsoft, who has a ton of experience in this area: http://www.managementexchange.com/story/communicate-hope-using-games-and...)
thanks
