I like to constantly learn and work with people to discover new things. I am curious about how companies overcome challenges. I am more interested in how the pieces fit and work together than the pieces themselves. That centers my interests on what people do and execute rather than on abstract ideas.
My family is important to me and I recognize that they are the foundation that lets me pursue my passion. That may make me seem old fashioned at times, but having that base allows me to challenge ideas and think out of the box in other areas.
I have a global outlook and exposure as I travel extensively around the world working with clients to develop responses to the challenges and questions they face. A long time ago a friend from Italy called me "a most american looking man' he then added that he was surprised that I did not have an american only outlook.
In March at the Phoenix CIO Leadership Forum, Polly LaBarre kicked off The Adaptability Advantage Hackathon , a joint initiative between Gartner EXP and the Management Innovation eXchange (MIX).
