Just put your name (and your name only) at the end of your emails

By Alberto Blanco on May 29, 2014
Solution

Sign with your name. There's no need or value added in showing others all those great accomplishments you have made (i.e. your studies or your flashy job title). If people want to know more about you, they can figure out quite easily. Just make sure your LinkedIn profile is updated ;)

First Steps

Go to your email account settings and edit your automatic signature. In case you don“t have one, the recipe will be just to write less at the end of your communications.

You need to register in order to submit a comment.

Can I keep my quote? I like a good quote in a signature line, and change mine periodically. I like to see what others feel important to add in their signature lines as a "tell," as it were, giving a bit of insight as to who or what this person believes in beyond just the content in an email...Also, I do provide a hot link to both my linkedIn profile and the book I wrote. Not sure if that's too much.

Hi Aaron, of course you can keep your quote :)
I agree with you that a quote can reveal a person's internal nature. Maybe, if the book you wrote appears in your LinkedIn, with the latter may be enough. What do you think?
