Me in Three
- Dr. Shane Green has over 15 years of experience in Information Technology and Systems. In these years, Dr. Green has collaborated in areas of development, security and information assurance. He is known for current work in Cloud Environments where access by Mobile Devices can be rated through risks associated to individual devices. This active research is important as companies move to use of personal devices for work access and cloud environments are built. He has a Master's degree in Information Systems Security with an emphasis in securing government/commercial systems.
- Future directions for research and implementations; -Take Information Assurance controls and methodology so all information in a system is at its desired level of security. -Ensure data protection is in-place by using sniffers and vulnerability scanners to locate ports and information passing through select devices that should either be encrypted or defined on a level of security in the plan. -Use the tools of methodology and theory to determine what needs to be protected and ensure the architecture supports the level of security required for an organization. -Give personnel the training needed to enforce the security plan implemented by the company. -Inform users on risks that will be encountered and how to avoid possible intrusion in information systems. -Research on Cloud Security in a Virtual Environment and securing Applications in the cloud.
- Specialties: IT Security, Distributed Security, Disaster Recovery, Security Research, Research on Secure Cloud Computing in VM environment and Development of Cloud Applications.
