  • From being a rural medical doctor to providing leadership for health care in my country, Nigeria - I have known that the institutions passed on to us from generations gone by are no longer serving us and will definetly be useless in the future. So I have got to challenge the status quo and change things. Yes, even if it means doing it all by myself.
  • Listening to BBC World Service for several hours a day has been my past-time since I developed an intense quest for knowledge. And I have lived and still living many lives from that expereince, since I can mentally transport myself to different places. But it is technological innovation that has made this encounter more profound. From tuning and fine-tuning a transistor radio along with taking different positions to have clearer reception on a short-wave band - to receiving the broadcast using my mobile telephone relayed via an FM station in Malabo (Equatorial Guinea), while sitting on my couch in Port Harcourt (Nigeria) - means that we should all anticipate progress.
