David Mason - Product Manager at Mozilla

Me In Three

  • I was an early participant in the Open Source movement and an early employee at Red Hat, Inc where I was able to grow a strong sense of what it means to be transparent and how to apply it to many areas of life including business and leadership.
  • Through many years of studying music theory and practice, formally and on my own, I still find myself thinking of most tasks within a lens of musical patterns and approaches. Often this is helpful, at times it can be more obfuscation than necessary - but I wouldn't trade music for anything else in life.
  • I have a strong drive to follow the sage advice of the great Brian Wilson who said, "Beware the lollipop of mediocrity - lick it once and you suck forever"
